01. Challenges & objectives
Market
1. In a competitive food scene, the brand needed an original voice to stand out while keeping its aspirational value.
2. With an unconventional offer; not really a restaurant, or a fast-food counter, nor a coffee - Yaourti blurrs the perception and had to be understood by its customers.
Business
3. Their first venture in the food business, they relied on us to guide them through the entire process.
4. We felt a responsibility using their lifelong savings to create something that had a real chance at success.
Location
5. Previously a clothing store,
we had to strip the place before we could bring all the new the services necessary to fully functional restaurant.
02. Design Proposition
The concept needed a simple yet unique environment to set their unconventional offer appart from the crowded food scene.
We embraced the traditional mediterranean language – with its vegetation, decorative wrought iron, ceramic pots, earthy roughcast, water fountains – and arranged it in a modern experience.
Bathed in generous sunlight, various types of seating welcome the guests. From a quick snack to a lingering coffee break.
03. Results
Following the opening, feedbacks from the customers were overwhelmingly positive – many of them praising the ambiance as a key part of their experience.
